miami nation stronghold’s new accomplishments
Miami Nation Stronghold, LLC recently provided a complex of storm shelters to the Dallas Independent School District, which is the second-largest public school district in Texas and the 14th largest district in the nation. These shelters play a vital role in protecting students and staff in dangerous weather conditions.
Stronghold’s design and manufacturing exceed the CC 500-2014, ICC/NSSA Standard https://www.iccsafe.org/ for storm shelters, here providing safety for 450 individuals. In this project shelters were bound together, which doubles their already robust structural strength. Inside, the interiors were designed to create a comfortable, reassuring environment. Ample lighting creates a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere. A natural ventilation system uses the passive circulation of air through its design of vents with intakes at a low level and exhausts at head heights. This keeps the interiors well oxygenated and helps create comfortable temperatures.
Stronghold’s design and manufacturing quality were reviewed and approved by our own structural engineers and by Underwriters Laboratory https://ul.org/
Stronghold was also congratulated by Mr. Todd Auman of FedEx for achieving a milestone by completing the FedEx 2020 Project with the delivery of 50 storm shelters this year, on time and on budget. Stronghold has installed over 250 shelters, nationwide, for FedEx and continues to provide shelter design, manufacturing, and installation to the company.
